TRAUMA: WOUNDS (OR INJURIES) LEFT IN OUR IDENTITIES THAT RENDER US LESS THAN WHAT GOD HAD IN MIND WHEN HE CREATED US.

Think hard on that definition of trauma. In order to understand it, we must make a few agreements:

  • God had something very specific in mind when He created women, and it was good (Genesis 1:31)

  • God’s authority in that design is so powerful, any deviation from it causes utter devastation in her heart and life (Genesis 3:7)

  • What happens to a woman has no real power until she absorbs a lie as the Truth in her identity (Genesis 3:13)

But the world does not agree with this definition of trauma because, one, it rejects all knowledge of a good God, and two, it reduces the identity of women to her own feelings and self-assessment.

Isn’t it tragic how, if the Bible is True, then those two lies are causing trauma to women around the world all while being sold as “the hope” for being made whole!  The belief that God is not real or not good and that He made any kind of mistake when designing women is fracturing our very identity and inviting confusion, fear, desperation, depression, and oppression to operate in full authority over our minds, hearts, and bodies.

Friend, if you don’t grieve when you consider the magnitude of that reality, there’s a very good chance you could be experiencing the captivity of that identity trauma yourself - right now, at this very moment.

The Truth Collective holds fast to knowing, believing, and sharing what is True about who God is and how He sees women because, not only do we believe that Truth has the power to defeat identity lies and restore our hearts to True wholeness, but we have and are experiencing, that power each day in our own lives.  We are not just inviting women into trauma healing - we are a Collective of brokenhearted, testifying about The Trauma Healer!

Walk beside us in this journey.  Sit with us together in His healing presence. And proclaim with us the good news that sets every captive free!

The Bible Speaks to Trauma

Mark 5:25-34: He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Genesis 16:13: She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

Ruth 4:14: Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a redeemer...
